DOCKING IN TATHAPE DISTRICT.

Docking has ?}'een completed, and farmers generally report very good percentages. In the Haeke and Pohonui districts there has been a. percentage of over 100. One settler "docked" and tallied a. paddock of lambs, which worked out at 109 per cent. The remainder of hia flock comprised two tooth ewes, which brought tho percentage down to 100 for the whole flock. T.he highest percentages in the ■ Kaeke district were 117£ from a, flock of 600. four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, and 85 per cent from « flock of 300 two-tooths. The latter percentage is considered a very high one, and is greater than was the average last year. The average for the whole district this, year is* well over 100 •per cent, a«i compared with about 80 last year. The mortality amongst ewes and lambs, which was an unpleasant, feature of the last lambing season, has been entirely absent this season. Ewes and Lambs are in splendid condition, and there is an abundance of good grass in every part of the district.
