WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL SHOW

Tlio secretary's office resembled a busy time- yesterday with the- throngs of exhibitors flocking in and. out from early in tho morning until late at night. The secretary and his assistants had a very busy time, and there is every indication that the entries this year will even surpass last year's record. Tho Association have an office on the Palmerston Show ground for the convenience of exhibitors who wish to make their entries there, and entries will bo taken there to-day and to-day. Local exhibitors can also make late entries with tho secretary here. As there have been some enquiries as to the conditions of tho bending competition which takes place on the second day of the Show, tho secretary advises us that it will bo similar to such competitions as held at all polo gymkhanas. Two rows of sticks left long will bo set up in lino at intervals of about 20ft.. and tho competitors will leave the track in pairs and go to the Tight of sticks alternately, turn round the last stick, and back home the same wav, the winners of each heat running off the finals. It should prove a, very interesting competition, as it is a good test of horsemanship and a well-trained horse. Those who have omitted to s^nd in their entries are re-quested to do it now.
