Tlio horse-shoeing attracted competitors from Eketahuna, Bunnythorpe, Mart-inborough, Wellington and Kilburnie, Himitangi and Palmerston North, tho results being as follows: Open shoeing: \V. Olsen (Eketahuna) 1, J. H. Griffiths (Palmerston) 2, 11. McDowell (Palmerston) 3. Best made two shoes: J. H. Griffiths (Palmerston) 1, J. McQuinn (Maryborough) 2 V. J. Hill (Eketahuna) 3.
