MARTON WATER SUPPLY.
AMPLE FOR ALL REQUIREMENTS
(By Our Special Reporter.) MARTON, October 28. The Borough Council lost no time in making a certainty of an immediate supply of water for the Borough. On Saturday a 30ft. span of pipes from the Spiral Co. arrived from Wanganui, and yesterday the work of connecting up was undertaken by a staff of men under the control of Mr. A. Wilson, foreman. It may bo explained that the pipes from the sluice valve at the new reservoir were washed away, and have not since been seen: but in order that no time might be lost in scouring the country for them it was considered expedient to nrocure a new set and link up again with tho new reservoir from which a supply equal to present demands can be obtained. The work, was completed on Sunday atfernoon, and to-day tho pipes were all fall again.
