There are evidences that business wi»l be rushed and scamped now, in order that Parliament may rise soiuewheto about tho end of this month. If the programme of work were honestly carried through and due deliberation given to important matters, the work of the session could not "possibly finish for at least a month yet. But thero are tho Christchurch races to be considered, and then—well, members want to get back to their farms and haystacks. So that we must "get through" business, neck and crop if need bo., but anyhow we must get through.
