WOMAN CHARGED WITH BIGAMY.

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 25. Eleanor Eileen Christian pleaded guilty to charges of bigamy and issuing a valueless cheque, .and she was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Sho was married at Christmas, 1895, to Herbert Christian, her maiden name being Nelly Emmeline Dcerlovo. Sho lived with her husband from time to time, there being throe children by the marriage. Posing as a widow, sho married Robert John MfDonald at Auckland on the sth inst., and subsequently issued a valueless cheque. The police enquiries regarding her antecedents led to the disrovcry of her bigamous marriage. 'J'ho accused said she really eared for McDonald, and wished to dear the way for Christian to get a divorce.
