YESTERDAY AT DUNEDIN

Tfc n ,-PVNEpiN, October 25. tnSt Oai\ ad«n Cadets had a quiet day i T^ B. nrm& morning they followed their own inclination!, mo^t of them making a tour of the city und er the guidance of their hosts. In the atternoon they tried-conclusions at football with the local High School senior jifteen and were defeated by 12 points to 6 To-night ;4he Cadets give a^hajft hour a exhibition of gymnastic and musical work at the King's Theatre. The Cadets will attend High School sports to-morrow, and on' Sunday morning there will bo church parade. The majority ot them have accepted an invitation to make the trip down the harbour on Sunday afternoon
THE WANGANUI VISIT
COMPLETE ARRANGEMENTS MADE
A meeting of the committee appointto go into the matter of entertaining tn© visiting Canadian Cadets when they arrive in Wanganui was held in the Drill Hall last evening. Mr. G. Spriggens presided, and there were present Major McJ\aught Capt. H. W. Martyn Robwt aa, d Mr* G- Caiman (secretary) Ihe chairman reported on the results ot his interview with the Agricultural Association. He had suggested to the Association that it givo a donation towards the Cadets entertainment fund and the Cadets, with their band would "I* 1?* *° *he Show ground and then visit the Bee. and play their football match. The Rugby Union had offered tho uso of the Rec, and anybody wishing to avail themselves of the et?nd would, be charged a small amount for the privilege. The Association had made a donation of £10. and was issuing free passes to the visitors. The Association 15 ml «thanked for generous offers. ~t ioS a .riiJ^ met at *te station •it 12-30 on the Monday, 11th, hy tht, local Cadets and tho Garrison Band, and march to the drill shed. Here they will bo received by the Member for the district, the Mayor, the officer commanding the regiment, and the Rev. J. A J-mxiord. lhis ceremony over, the Cadet^ will bo entertained to lunch at Dus+i!lt J n. a?* ernoon» ** 2 o'clock, the Technical College and the Colfegiat© School will be visited, the latter at" the request of the Rev. Dove, after which they will have a little time to themselves. At night, the Cadets are to be King s Iheatre. Tho next day, Tuesday the river trip to Pipiriki will eventuate the visitors being the guests of P— atr-^i- On tiie retu™ from J.ipiriki at midday on Wednesday, they will be entertained at lunch ?t Dus?n th^ r Cjl(?0 1 te a Kain being the guests w ¥ F- P atnc, k- tho afternoon of Wednesday, tho Cadets will march at Jo clock from tho drill hall to the Show grounds, and there give a military display in front of tho a;rand-st«nd. At 3 o clock the Roc. will bo visited, and tho football match with a Collegiate School team played. After that" the Cadets will be free. In the evening, .tho Cadets will bo tho guests of tho City Band at tho spectacular display in tho Upoi-ft HoiißG. On Thursday t n « fcovs will bo free, and they will tnko their doparturo hv tho ]-40 train for J?otoma. Tho City Bnnd is to be asked to play tho boys fo tho station.
