For the first time since Labour Day has been numbered among our public holidays, it is to bo celebrated in Wanganui in a becoming manner. Hitherto it has been a most disappointing day, affording satisfaction to no one and occasioning considerable loss and 'jnconvenience to many workers and employers. This year, however, the holiday is to be turned to good ac-
