LORD ISLINGTON.

(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 24. His Excellency the Governor, accompanied by Capt. McDougall, A.D.C., arrived in Christchurch from Wellington this morning and spent the day at To Koraha. This evening ho opened a creche and kindergarten festival at the Theatre Royal. To-morrow morning he motors to Rangiora, where, at ten o'clock, he will be mot by the Mayor and leading people. At 11 a.m. he will open tho Ashley traffic bridge, and at noon attends tho the Rangiora Show. He returns to Christchurch in the afternoon, and returns to-morrow night to Wellington.
