WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.
COMMITTEE MEETING
The committee- of tho Wanganui Agricultural Association met yesterday, Mr Fred Moore presiding over a good attendance.
Tho following new members were elected: Messrs Hy Cooper, R. J. McCullagh, R. E. Hornblow, G. A. Allen, T. M. Remington, Win, Price and Nausbaum Bros.
Mr G. Smith reported that as the photographic classes were all allotted, Mr Lampe's special prize is to be held over till next year.
Tho St. John's Ambulance Brigade wrote offering to supply a squad of men for service, if required.—The offer is to be declined with thanks and complimentary tickets sent.
The Wanganui Jockey Club wrote agreeing to the removal of the killing sheds and stating the matter had been left in the hands of Mr R. Russell. The Pressident and Mr Russell -are to meet and select the new site.
Mr G. Spriggens waited on the Association asking for a donation towards entertaining the Canadian cadets. He suggested that a>s the cadets were very anxious to play football a match should bo played on the Recreation Ground as an extra attraction to the Show and that a display of physical drill should be given on the lawn. The Association agreed with the suggestion and decided to give a donation of £10.
