Somo excellent averages are reported in tho Taihape district where "docking" h0.9 been commenced, the averages ranging from 98 to 120 per cent., though the latter .is not common. Lambs aro stated to bo in excellent condition, and havo been favoured by very mild weather conditions. No snow has fallen sinco lambing commenced.. and there havo been no frosts. This is something unusual for this district, -a« snow and J-eavy frosts generally continue right up till. October. Early lambs, contrary to tho usual custom in this district, did very well, and there wru: very little mortality among either tho lato or early one 3.
