PORTLAND (Oregon) September 28, Margaret St. Clair, an actress, ha*, been arrested on a charge of attempting to murder 'Mrs. Rose Dickens by poisoning he*. The allegation is that Miss St. Clair put arsenic and carbolic acid iii tho medicine of Mrs. Dickens, who is the wife of a piano-player at the theatro where Aliss »St. Clair appears.

Misa St. Clair.denies the allegation, and states that she can prove she was in Canada at tlio time of tho alleged crime.
