MR VEITCH'S CANDIDATURE
To the Editor,
Sir, —An overwhelming verdict has been pronounced by both the electors of Wanganui and throughout the Dominion against the Ward Administration. It now behoves all Mr Hutchison's supporters to follow his example, and throw in their support to Air Veitch, the Labour candidate, in order to emphasise their decision. I understand Mr Mackay intends advising his supporters to support Mr Hogan, although this seems inconsistent, seeing Mr Maekay led us to believe ho would vote against the Government on a no-coiihdenee motion. Mr Mackay's chairman, Mr Spriggens, has " buried the hatchet" with Mr Hogan, and been appointed deputy-chair-man of Mr Hogari's committee, so Ahat Reform followers must bestir themselves before election day. ,My opinion is Mr Veitch will prove a useful and energetic member, and although for the moment iieform and Labour do not see exactly eye to eye, both parties are in accord respecting the great necessity of ending the present Administration. It will be some years before Labour is powerful enough to dominate Parliament, but most Reform followers hope and trust Mr Massey will enunciate such a truly Liberal policy that the present difference between Capital and Labour will cease, and each and all work in peace, harmony and concord.—l am, etc.,
REFORM
