Thei'e was. an attendance of 10,000. England's innings Jasted 322 minutes. Douglas batted brilliantly for -267 minutes. The bowling and fielding were good. Australia opened poorly, losing four wickets for 32. Trumper,.Minnett, Kelleway and Crawford then batted splendidly. The bowling was good, but the fielding was only moderate, several easy chances being dropped. ENGLAND.
