Ice broke a wooden scaffolding on a now railway bridgo over the Volga river, near Kazan.

- Two hundred workmen were precipitated into the river.

Four bodies were recovered

Tho ice-breakers are seeking for tho survivors, hoping that they clambered on to ice-floes.
