Mr. Rickards was i the greatest caterer for vaudeville Australia has ever known, and in this respect, furnished New Zealand with some (•I his finest vaudeville combinations. iHo had theatres in all the principal wntres of Australia, the most noted '; being the Tiyoli, in Castlereagh Street, , ■■•.Sydney,, which was the most popular ; play-house in Australia. Mr. Rickards himself enjoyed great popularity on the vaudeville stage in his earlier diiys.
