The mo.il express cars \yero rifled,, and the mail., clerk and conductor both shot, the "former fatally.. Ties of telegraph poles across the track stopped the train. Many passengers alighte:!, thinkiug i collision had occurred. They stampeded aboard when the robbers rired upon them.
