B6nfirps were lighted o^ the hills and in College- Street. The procession (practi- - rally the same as that of the afternoon) ' made a fine show, v»ach of the tableaux '.eing brilliantly lighted, while coloured fires dispelled any dismal feeling of which ,the rain might have provoked Everything -was over shortly after 9 o'clock, and the crowd, which had been extremely orderly throughout, dispers-, <xl. . ,Dunm; ihe afternoon and evening everything passed off without a hilch, for. which the marshals (Messrs Sprigs*ens and J. i*.
