ADDINGTON STOCK REPORT.

OHRISTCHURCH, June 21. At the Addington live-stock market thore were fairly large entries of stock and a good attendance. Store .sheep sold well, and; fat lambs "anflffau sheep were firmer. Fat cattle iwere a shade easier, and fat pigs were likewise,,somewhat lower than last week. Tho yarding of store shesp showed a stiil further falling-off in numbers," and included some good lines of lambs and a better class of ewes, than of late. There was a good demand for lambs end prices were improved by about Gd per head. Good ewes were also Arm, while wethers, which were of average quality, showed no change. A line of extra good sound-mouth ewes made 13s 9d to 14s lOd. and other lots 10s 6d to 113 (id. fair-mouthed sorts 7s Id to 8s 6d, and culls 3s to 6s. and average lines of wethers 13s to 13s 6d, and lighter 11s to 12s Gd, pood lambs (of mi\od sexes) 8s 9d to 9s 3d, medium 7s to 8s 6d, and ewe lambs li2s 2d.

There was an entry of 2,315 fat lambs tho quality ,being, much better than tho average, and there was a brisk sale for all freezing lines and prices Mere firmer. The export buyers took 2169 at prices ranging from 10$ '3d to 20s, 122-went to butchers at Ms to 21s, and 24 were passed in. The yarding of fat sheep was larger than last week,- and the quality was about the usual average. There was an active demand on the part of, both exporters and butchers and the market ppe'ied n.t advanced --rates, prime wethers selling at Is, and prime ewes 6d to 9d leUer than last week. The range of prices was: Prime wethers ]8s to 22s lid, medium 15s lo 17s 6d, lighfc 13s 8d to

14s 6d, prime ewes 15s to 19s 1(1 d, extra to 2Js, medium lls 6d to 14s Gd, aged and light 10s to Us, merino wathevs lls 2d to 13s 3d.

The yarding of fat cattle totalled 299 head, or about 80 less than last week. The quality was mostly primo, but notwithstanding this and the shorter supply, the demand was not very keen, and prices were somewhat easier. Steers made £7 7s 6d to-£ll 5s and^extra to i.'lß 10s, -heifers £5* H2s 6d to £11, and cows £5 17s Gd to £11 7s 6d.,equal to 24s to '28s for prime to 30s for extra, 21s to 23s for medium and 19s 6d to 20s 6d for cow and inferior beef per 1001b. Veal calves sold at 4"s 6d to 555, and extra to £3 18s, according to size and quality. North Island steers made £10 t o£l3 17s 6cl, and heifers £8 10s to £10 ss.

Store entile .comprised, old rows, and they sold at 13s 6d to £3 -"is. Dairy cows sold well prices, ranging from £3 10s to £Q 10s.

Pigs were entered in larger numbers in the fat pens than last wcv?k. and there was, therefore, less briskness in the bidding. Choppers sold up to :19s, heavy baconers 50s tb 555, and lighter shorts 36s to 465, equal to 4cl to 4{d per Ib. Store nigs sold better, medium sorts making 20s to'26s, smaller 14s to 19s, slips 8s to 13s. and weaners 2s to 6s.
