Tho "Timo-s" declares that it is cuit--01:3, perhaps .significant, that the aebatcs in tho House of Commons have boon almost silent upon tho Dominions' preparations to assist the Motherland in sea defence-. Admiral Henderson's report has attracted wide attention, as b::s Sir Joseph Ward's speech at Sydney. The Dominions recognise, by i>r.s£ co-operation, that charges may occur, rendering it advisable to re-establish tho bases of the. Far Eastern Fleet, necessitating the inclusion of -Dreadnoughts. If Admiral Henderson's proposals are accepted, Australia may provide two armoured crnircrs in 1915 instead of one. If India, Ceylon and the Straits Settlements combine with Australia to provide a moiety of the Eastern Fleet, the Homeland, couid not decline to supply the other-half. Twelve .armourod .cruisers in th-3 Pacific would be none too many.
