Tho death of Allen Hill, the wellknown Yorkshire professional cricketer, is announced by a London cable.

Mr A. E. Bullock, of Messrs Bullock and Currie, is at present seriously indisposed, having had to undergo an operation on Tuesday night. His many friends will hope to hear of his speedy recovery.

He was' then transferred to Christchurch, where h-9 was Chi of Postmaster till he retired some three years ago, since when he resided at Wanganui.
