THE PIRATES DISLODGED

(United Press Association.—Conyrip-ht.) HONG KONG, July 14.

A Portuguese cruiser and gunboat dislodged the Chinese pirates from Colowan, and sunk two junk loads, who were attempting to escape. All were drowned. The Chinese Government has stationed a gunboat and 1200 soldiers in tho vicinity of Colowan, and are awaiting developments.

(It ws cabled yesterday that Chinese pirates had stormed and captured a Portuguese militry post on the island of Cole wan.)
