HAWKE'S BAY KENNEL CLUB.

(Per Press Association.) NAPIER, July IL\ Tlie annual show of the Hawke's Bay Kennel Club was opened to-day in wet weather. The number of entries is the largest the club has had and the quality of the exhibits is good. A. C. Ho wo almost swept the board in black cocker Spaniels, as did E. C. Aldridge and W. A. Jones in the other colour classes. In rought-coated collies G. G. Parker had a field day. C. W. Davis took the bulk of the prizes for working sheep dogs and smooth-coated collies, as well as a trophy presented for this section. Reflector, an English-bred smooth-coated fox terrier puppy exhibited by N. Wade, went through all his classes successfully. In wire-haired fox terriers C. H. Thomas almost monopolised the prize tickets. The trophy for harriers (presented by the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club) went to tho North Taranaki Hunt Club's entries.
