WANGANUI TROTTING CLUB.
In another column we publish the programme for the Wanganui Trotting Club s Summer Meeting, which is to be held on Thursday and Saturday, 10th and 18th December, on the Wanganui Racecourse. The Club is to be complimented on the liberal bill-of-fare provided. They purpose giving £500 in stakes. There are sevenjraces each day, the -biggest stake offered being the Wanganui Cup Handicap, of 80 soys; for the second day the Tradesman's Handicap, of 60 soys., is the best prize offered. The pony races have been deleted from the programme and there are three races instead of two (as last year) for trotting horses only. All races are optional—that is, either saddle or harness. Owners of trotting horses should bear in mind that all horses entered at the meeting must be registered with the New Zealand Trotting Association prior to nomination. Nominations close on Saturday, 20th November.
