KAUKATEA ROAD BOARD.
At the usual monthly meeting of the Kaukatea Road Board there were present —Messrs A. D. Mackintosh (chairman), W. Neilson, D. Herlihy, C. L. Sommerville and J. E. Wilson.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
The Chairman reported that the necessary repairs to the Waikupa Road had been effected.
A memo was received from Mr H. Church in the matter of fees charged by the road ranger.—lt was resolved that a copy of the same be forwarded to the ranger and that he be asked for an explanation.
A sketch plan of the culvert near tthe Okoia railway station which was broken in March last by a traction engine was received. —It was resolved that the Chairman place the matter before the local M.'sP., Messrs Smith and Hogan.
The surfaceman advised that eight culverts were required in the Waikupa Road—Matter held over in the meantime
The Qhairman reported that fie and Mr Sommerville had visited the road leading; to Mr Neilson's property, and that the greater part of same was in the Matabngaonga Road District. —It was resolved to hold over discussion of the matter in the ;meantime, fuller particulars as to cost, etc., to be obtained.
Accounts to the amount of £32 8s 6d were passed for payment.
