DALGETY AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.

Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having held their usual fortnightly sales at Wanganui on the 30th ult. and at Waverley on the 2nd inst.; also a clearing sale at Fcrdell on account of D. Cameron, Esq. on 29th ult. D. Cameron's clearing sale. —There was a good attendance, and clearance.

At Wanganui we yarded 2500 sheep and a small entry of cattle. All classes of sheep \vere again in good demand. A large portion of the entry consisted of medium lambs, for which the bidding was very keen. Ewes in lamb were also in gocd demand, and sold well up to late rates. With the exception of one pen of sheep and one of cattle we effected a total clearance under the hammer.

At Waverley we yarded 1900 sheep and 100 cattle. Sheep were again in good demand. Ewes in lamb were particularly keen of sale, and prices for this class showed a sharp rise on late rates. A nice line of 4 and 6-tooth eAves in lamb n account of John Coxhead, Esq., made 17s, and a line of 6tooth and full-mouth eAves on account of the same vendor made los. The bulk of the cattle went out unsold. Quotations : —

I). Cameron's clearing* sale.—Mixed age ewes in lamb lls Id to 12s 3d, small 2-tooth Avethers 10s 9d, medium lambs 9s Id, old cull ewes Is 3d, mixed age rams 10s, small 18-months steers £2 ss, small heifers in calf £2 4s, store cows £2 lls 6d, springers and coavs in milk £3 17s 6d to £6 15s, 20-months S.H. bulls £2 12s to £2 15s, unbroken 3-year half-draughts £6 to £10s, 2-year do. £4, aged mare in foal £5. Sundries, etc., made good values.

At Wanganui.—Fat Avethers 12s 9d, 13s to 13s 2d, aged store Avethers lls 9d, mixed age ewes in lamb 10s to 12s 4d, cull do. 7s 9d, cull empty eAves 5s tr- 6s, medium lambs Bs. 6d, 8s 9d to 9s 3d, cull lambs 3s 7d to 5s 6d, small empty heifers £2.

At Waverley.—4 and 6-tooth eAves in lamb 17s, 6-tooth and f.m. eAves in lamb 15s, 4 and 5-year eAves nr lamb lls 9d, f.m. eAves in lamb 9s 6d 3 10s 4d to ]0s 7d, medium lambs 8s to Bs' 6d, 2tooth Avethers lls, 2, 4, and 6-tooth wethers (passed) 103 lid, mixed Aveaners 14s Gd, porkers £2 Is 6d.
