WELLINGTON WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALE.

! Our catalogue to-day consisted of 85 . bales wool, 3400 sheepskins, and 250 j hides. The reported easier feeling of ; the old world markets had the effect of 1 causing a hesitancy in the bidding, and I on the whole there was a tendency toI wards lower prices, which Avas most ! noticeable in the coarser grades of wool and skins which may be quoted at id I lower. Hides were in good request, ! but light and medium weights, which ! held their own last sale, receded slightly ; in price and were one-eighth to id low- • er. Heavies sold at rates fully equal ito last sale. We quote:— j Wool.—Crossbred medium 6^d to 73d, i do. inferior s£d to 6Jd, lambs s|d t_7d, ! crutchings medium to good "4|d to s£d. j do. inferior 33d to 4-Jd, pieces and I bellies 3^d to od. Skiiis. —Crossbred fine 7£d to BA,d, docoarse to medium 6jd to 7d, do. short I 4§d. to Ovjd, do. inferior 4^l to Od, dead ; and hoggets 4tl to o^d, broken and ; damaged 2d to 4d, green and salted 3s ; to os 3d each.

Hides.—Heavy ox 6£d to 7 l-Bd, medium ox old to 6Jd, light ox 5Jd to 5 7-Bd, heavy cow o£d to 5 7-Bd, medium cow s|d to s|d, calfskins fair to medium 8d to 8 7-3 d, damaged 4£d to sjd, heavy 4^d to 6|d, yearlings s|d to 6|d. Tallow. —Casks, none offered; tins 18s 6d to 20s per cwt.
