"THE FROLICS."
Refinement in a musical comedy entertainment, as well as variety of presentment, is what New Zealand theatregoers are demanding. According to the management the programme which " The 'Frolics Costume Comedy Company " will submit on Monday and Tuesday next in the Opera House embraces all that refined comedy, music, and hilarious merriment can give to ensure a pleasing evening's entertainment. Managers have lately been forced to recognise the unmistakable demands of New Zealand audiences, and we are always pleased to endorse any improvement in the standard and personnel of our visiting entertainers. "The Frolics" present themselves to their audiences with the stage especially draped to harmonise with their quaint costumes, which are said to be reminiscent of the Elizabethian period and the Pierrot Court Entertainers. Admission prices are popular—3s, 2s, and Is—and the plan is at Jones and Son's.
