During the hearing of a case in the Supreme Court to-day it was elated by a. medical witness in connection with' the death of a patient from puerperal septicaemia that there had been a-n abnormal number of pept'c cases during the last .twelve months throughout NewZealand, and in nxanv of the eases? it was impossible to tell hoxr tliey had been caused. .
