We bßg to report as follows regardms; to-day's sale:—
We held our fortnightly sale to-day, when we offered 45 bales of wool, 2500 skins. 600 hides and calfskins and a quantity, of tallow and horsehair. There was a good attendance of buyers and bidding was very ; spirited for everything offering. Wool.—The catalogue was largely composed of crutchings, which met with strong demand and sold at very' satisfactory prices. We quote: Crossbred fleece 5d to 7|d, lambs 6d to 7%d, superior crutchings 5d to s|d, medium crutchings 4d to 4|d, inferior crutchings' 3d to 4d, pieces and bellies 2d to 4d, locks-l^d to 3d. Skins—Market very strong and advanced a halfpenny. We quote: Fine crcssbreds 7,d to B^d, crossbreds 6d to 7-Jd, dead'^kins 3d to 6^d, dead hoggots 4d to 6d,; short wcols 4d to ; 4£d, dry pelts 2Jjd to 4sd, green skins 4s to 6s 2d, lamb skins 3s to 3s 3d, lanib pelts Is 6d to 2s- 9d.
Tallow.—Firm.-'"Parcels in shipping order £24, tins £18 to £20 10s, rough fat £10 to £15. :
Horsehair Is to Is 4d por lb. Horns.—ss to 16s per 100. Cowtails.—ls 3d to Is lOd per dozen. Hidesv—Steady. Good competition, but the late high prices were not main-, tamed. Market for ox was .a farthing lower, light remained steady. Calf advanced a halfpenny^. We quote : Ox hides, heavy 6|d to 7|d, medium 6d to 6id, light 5d to 6£d, cow hides 5d to 5 7-Bd. cut and slippy hides 2d to sd, stag hides 2^d to:4|d, bull hides 2d to 4|d, yearlings 5d to 6^d, calf test 7^d to 9£d. calf medium 5d to 7d, calf cut and slippy 3d to sd.
