Al~ ithough the weather was very threaten-, ing there was a gocd attendance of buyers, also a few outside dealers. There was a good yarding of. sheep, and old ewes (empty) reached 7s 3d r cull ewes in lamb 7s Id, and other ewes in lamb Bs. There was a.decided rise in lambs, culi lambs reaching .7s to. Bs, and mixed lambs 9s lOd. There'was a fair yarding of cattle, springing heifers fetching £2 los, 15-mqjith heifers £2 2s, 10-month steersi £2.1.05. . ..' The Farmers' Union held their mouthly meeting on Tuesday (sale/day)., There, was a good attendance. . Mr Mclntyre reported on the provincial conference held at Eketahuna recently. .. It was

It was also decided to hold the annual Farmers' Union social about the end of August, the exact date to be arranged at next meeting. " . The committee have been very fortunate in securing esveral outside vocalists, and a real good entertainment can be relied on. The weather has been very good of late, and this winter has net as yet be9n noticeable. There is abundance of grass about, and the stock hi all parts of the district look exceptionally well.
