ST. JOHN'S BOWLING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting oF the . aboyeClub was held last evening', there being a. good attendance of members. Mr Thos. Allison (president) occupied the chair, and briefly reviewed the affairs of ho past season. "Mr Allison expressed his pleasure at the attendance^ alluded to the^results of matches placed during the season, expressed the opinion that the ; /Club was now thoroughly established.,,and offered several suggestions for still further advancing the interests of the Club. .

NEW MEMBERS.—Messrs Da.vid Crease, R. McNiven, A. G. Muir, J. R. Wakelin, F. A. Harkiiess, R. Howo, F. C. Faber, J. Smythe, and J. Lorey were elected member's. ;v>v •

OFFICERS The election of officers resulted.as follows, Mr Allison (the Club's first president) having decided to retire after two years of office:—President, Mr D. Miller; vice-president, Mr T. Allison; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr G. E. Simpson (re-elected); committee. Messrs Laird. Gelatly, Burgess, Lomax, Coles, Christie, Moffatt, Reid, and Ball; auditors, Messrs M. Russell and W. Bell; delegate to Northern Bowling-Association, Mr L. Ledger. THANKS.- Jt was resolved that a Setter of thanks and appreciation be sent to-the "Wangamii Club, in acknowledgment of this "Club's generous hospitality in granting St. John's the use of their green after St. John's green had been closed for the season. Votes of thanks wore also accorded to the hon. secretary (Mr Simpson) and to the caretaker (Mr Muir). and to the members of the Green Committee, special mention being mad© of the valuable services rendered by Mr J. Laird. After, the general discussion of matters affecting the club the meeting adjourned.
