ARRIVAL IN NEW ZEALAND

' WELLINGTON, June 18. A detachment of boys from the Columbia Park Club, California, arrived in Wellington by the Manapouri last night and landed to-day. They are in charge of Major S. S. Peixotto, who has made it his business, so he explains, to concentrate on boy life and see what the poorest quality of city boy can be taught to do. The boys of the Club are not waifs or street arabs, but sons of the poorer classes, who do not get the necessary home training and recreation. Recreation is provided and moral influence exerted, the boys beinjg^ taught to lead clean and wholesome lives. The permanent membership of the Club is about 150. The Club is undenominational, and no charge is made to the boys. The touring party is giving entertainments in various parts of New Zealand.
