PALMERSTON N., June 17. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report :— At Palmerston Ncrth on Thursday there was a good competition for all classes of stock, both sheep' and cattle telling freely. We quote :— S.m. breeding'ewes 11s, 2-tooth ewes in lamb 13s 7d, 2-tooth to f.m. ewes lls.

Cattle.—Weaners (inferior) 13s, medium 19s tol 21s, low condition 18-month heifers 21s to 31s, backward heifers'in calf £2 17s 6d to £3, store cows 31s 6d to 38s, forward cows. £3, bulls £3.
