The British Consul at Hamidiek, after travelling through to the scenes of the massacres', states that 2000 agricultural labourers were shot like rabbits around the village of H,amidiek, and are still unburied. Other villages suffered similarly, and at Antioeh scarcely a man escaped Tho Japanese Consul-General approves of the prosecution of the 12 leaders of the strikers at Hawaii for conspiracy to riot. Three are also charged with conspiracy to murder.
