The scrutiny of the rolls and a recount of the votes cast at the recent election for the Westland constituency were completed this evening, the final result being:— T. E. Y. Seddon 2830 H. L. Michel 2720 Informal 21 Majority for Seddon 110 Many reports were current as to a number of cases of double voting, but the scrutiny of the rolls revealed no cases.
