LADIES' TOURNAMENT.

WELLINGTON, September 4. The ladies' hockey tournament opened at Day's Bay this afternoon. Senior teams aro present from Hawke's Bay, Canterbury, Wairarapa, and Nelson^ and junior teams from Wanganui, Hawke's Bay, and Horowhenua. The tournament will not conclude until Friday next, and may last until Saturday. In the Senior Grade, Hawke's Bay beat Canterbury by one to nil, Wellington A beat Wairarapa B by two to one, Nelson drew with Wellington B ono all, and Wairarapa B had a bye. In the Junior Grade Wellington A beat Wanganui by'eight to nil, Wellington B beat Hawke's Bay by two to one, and Horowhenua had a bye.
