THE ROYAL PICTURES.

Every week ten thousand feet of new moving pictures arrive in Wellington to the order of the Royal Pictures Syndicate, and from this the programme to be 'presented on every visit of the Royal Pictures to Wanganui will be selected. On the occasion of the first programme to be given here on next Thursday night, at the Opera House, the list will include a liberal assortment of the latest biograph novelties. The picturesare to be shown by the aid of electric light, and the Royal Pictures Company carries its own plant, co as to enable it to give as satisfactory an exhibition, as it does in the larger centres.. Press notices of "Blue and Grey," the "star" dramatic picture of the first programme, contain great praise. It is claimed for this picture that it is -the best acted and staged moving-picture seen in the colonies, and that it never fails to earn genuine applause. The American Fleet's visit to San Francisco is also another star item. On the humorous side the opening bill will be strong, the feature films being " The Tribulations of a Mayor, " Grandfather's Pills," " Stop Those Barrels," and " A Cold and Frosty Morning." The Box plan is on view at Messrs Jones and Son's, and will also be there for subsequent visits of the Royal Pictures.
