Mr J. B. Howard, the representative of the Royal Pictures, arrived in town yesterday to arrange for the company's first visit to Wanganui. ■■■■;-,-(Miss Dulcie Deamer, of Featherston, was married, on Wednesday at Perth, to Mr Albert Goldie, toui*ing manager for the ." Mr Hoben, editor of the " Manawatu' Times," was presented, with' a puree of sovereigns last night in recognition of his public service in connection with the recent- mayoral election, and to meet out of pocket expenses in the libel action arising out of it, which he won.
