ST. PATRICK'S DAY CONCERT.
St. Mary's Hall was crowded to overflowing last' evening", when the .annual St. Patrick's Day. concert was given. The. first item .was Has Sorrow Thy Young Days Shaded?" sung by the Convent ; nupils. Then came an Irish lullaby by^ : Miss J. Lloyd, followed by .^MMt in. the Stilly Night," sung as a part-song by the. Convent = pupils. Mr Peter McLean -sang ." Of to Philadelphia "^Master Shalerecited " The Irish -Drummer., Boy"•/; Miss Josephine Bosslemah sang \Yith; great taste, "Killarney"; Master John. F. Bourke contri- ■;. buted ." The-Soldiers Letter,',' for which lie was encored;,'. Mr.. Hutton- '. sang " Aileen,, Allan a11,".,; and. Miss Kathleen; Wood's song, " Mavourneen" concluded tho first part of the programme. Part two opened with a part-son» entitled " Erin, the Tear and the bn"le» after -whiclu Mr. Splean sang Oome Back to Erin." Mr. Swan recited " Fritz and Betsy Fall Out," and in response to «v most hearty recall o- a ve "Paddy's Excelsior".; Mrs/Labatt sanr Asthore,' 1 after which Father Molloy delivered a patriotic recitation.- A quartette from St. Mary's choir sang "■ The Harp that once thro' Tara's Halls"; Mr. Molloy contributed "The Minstrel Boy"; Mr. Henderson sang '• You'd Better Ask Me"; and the R ev Father -Ma-honey gavo "The Dear little Shamrock." Dean Grpgan, in a neat little speech, thanked tho performers for their serVices, after which a part .song; entitled " The Last. Hose of Summer" concludea n very enjoyable .programme. Miss White and Miss Rogers played the accompaniments.
