Winston Churchill, in an interview with the Shah, raised the question of British prestige, securing Nasirelmulk's release, and permission for him to go to Europe as an exile. The Shah asked for tho dismissal of 200 armed Nationalists who were guaixling Parliament. The President refused, declaring thie Shah wa.s committing treason against the Constitution, necessitating his deposition.
