AUCKLAND, June 11. The state of the Police Court buildings led Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., to make remarks on the subject this morning Two womeiL, who had .been living in°a filthy condition in Durham Street, had just been removed from the Court when his Worship j^marked that they should get the place fumigated at least, once a week. "I am informed,'- he went on, " by a scientific man that this place simply swarms with all sorts...of germs. I once asked a gentleman to make an experiment, but he said he ■was afraid of the results, which would probably drive everyone from coming near."
