At the Methodist Conference the Rev. Moreland moved that the New Zealand Conference be given permissive legislation to deal with stationing ministers either in the representative or ministerial session of tho annual conference Ho said there- was a strong desire in ,New Zealand to possess that power.

The Rev. La-wry moved an amendment making it mandatory that the question should be transferred to the representative session. This, together with a number of other amendments, was negatived, and the original motion was carried by 53 to 20.

On the Rev. Garland's motion it was decided to tender congratulations to the three branches of Methodism in Japan upon having accomplished union.
