BLENHEIM, January 37. The total for the 39th week of the New Zealand Egg-laying Competition is 1598, making a grand aggregate of 71,087, and a weekly average per pen of 15.89. The highest laying for the •week was' done by Miss Majanie McCallum's (Blenheim) White Leghorns 31, Ashworbh's Silver Wyandottes (Alexandra) 29, Hicfoman'e Brown Leghorns (Balcairn) 28, Steel's White Leghorns (Picton) 28, Naumann's Silver Wyandottea (Napier) 28. The order of merit in tihe grand aggregate is as follows: — Leger, of Levin, 1116; Brooks, of South Australia, 1017,; Miarlborough A. land P. Association, 996; IMick Shaw, Blenheim, 874; Jonathan Hodson, Blenheim, 971, all these pens being White 'Leghorns.
