WHANGAREI, September IS. At Matapouri yesterday, Avhile lowering a totara pile down a steep incline on a Avira rope, a young man named Charles F. Ferguson, aged 23, let the repp slip. Both his legs Avere entangled in it and were torn off, and he died a lew hours later.
