' Timber and Iron " is the heading of an auction 'advertisement by Messrs Williams and Harper, who will sell on Wednesday next at 2 o'clock, on the premises of Mr Geo. E. Sigley, Wilson btreet, a -large quantity of good, sound building material, suitable for sheds «tc.; also a room 16 'by 10. They will also offer a number of second-hand vehicles. The '\yhoie will go to the highest bidder.
A reminder is given, of the great auction sale which takes place on Wednesday, September 6, at Mr.:■ Keeping's mart, consisting of clothing, drapery, etc. As there is no reserve on these goods, all those on the look-out for bargains should not fail to attend this sale. The goods are now ,on view. All ladies in search of strong, handsome, and cheap basket ware should pay Messrs. Yoang and Collins a visit. The firm havo just landed a splendid assortment of baskets, particulars of which will be found in our "Wanted" columns this'morning. The baskets are certainly very choice, and besides strong hampers, lunch and other kinds, comprise many novelties new to Wanganui.
