Statistics submrftea Tsy" the Parliamentary' Committee of Inquiry info the dairying industry show that the butter er.pcrted by New South Wales last year was 20,550,000 pounds, valued at over £779,000; from Victoria, 34,385,000 pounds, valued at over £1,306,000. The Assistant Government Dairy Ex- ! pert attributed the higher prices obtained by New Zealand butter to its grading. The New South Wales fac--1 tories, with the exception of one or two, were not so np-to-date as New Zealand.
