THE HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

The attendance at the Horbieuttitfural Show j'estefday afternoon was. considerably interfered with by the heavy rain which fell. In the evening, however, there was a very good attendance. A very excellent musiicai programme was rendered by the T.Y.M.I. Band and Armslirong'a Orchestra, while the T.Y.M.I. Ladies' and Gentlemen's.Gymnastic Classes gave very interesting performances.

The public were delighted witli th© exhibits, which were unanmously voted to be the best seen in W&mganui for a, lone time. *

Mr. Hope Gibbons won the table de-. corating compotiitii-on for. gentlemen. His table was decorated with poppies. The calse weight, judging competition (for cake kindly provided by Mrs. McMurray) was'keenly competed for. The Show lias been a complete success in ©very way, and it is. anticipated that •when the accounts are nil iix there; will b-o a substantial surplus.
