UPOKONGARO FERRY CARRIED AWAY.

Shortly after dark the Upokongaro Ferry was carried away, and almost immediately afterwards the;* punt broke" adrift and darted off in the darkness.. At about a quarter past six the punt was seen passing the Ttfwn Wharf, and it doubtless went out to sea. The latest informatioh from Upokongaro was to the .effect that rain was still falling and the river rising.
