From Our Own Correspondent. MARTON, Tuesday. Mr J. MoOheaney. has signed the contract for the Marton Jockey Club buildings at about £850. These include public stand j (partly seated and partly stepped), also boxes, stalls, totalisator house feretory s office, press rooms, etc., in fact all the appointments except the grandstand, which, though already designed, will not be erected before next meeting. The appointments are not elaborate, but are substantial an.l convenient, and to a certain extent on^ the j lines of work carried out by the architect, Mr James, on the Feildmg course. The. judge's box will be similar to the one designed by Me James for the Christchiirch Jockey Club, but slightly smaller. The aalvanised iron-fencing, picket and post and rail fencing are included in the contract, j The Marton Band warden part^ on Wednesday starts at 2 o'clock.
